Is 'Rekindling an Old Flame' really that bad?

I'm a little confused by the reaction to my story 'Rekindling an Old Flame' on Literotica. Leaving aside the comments (of which there were actually very few), the scores thus far have been a bit lowly. In fact the first part is my fifth worst scoring story on Literotica with a 3.71 / 5 score. Sure, objectively 3.7 / 5 isn't that bad, but relative to the other 46 stories I've put on there under the name Robert_Anthony, it's a pretty poor score. 

I must admit when I posted it I wasn't sure whether to post it under 'Fetish' or 'Loving Wives', but since 'Anna's Cuckold: Redux' was annihilated in 'LW' I decided to play safe and put it under 'Fetish'. When I saw the score I thought, well maybe it should have gone in 'Loving Wives' then? So I put part two in 'LW' and it currently has a score of 2.49 / 5. I mean, okay, part two isn't as good as part one, I'll agree with that... but it's vying with 'Anna's Cuckold: Redux' for the bottom of the pile and I think that's a bit harsh!

I wasn't as bothered with 'AC:R' because it was literally a very quick rework of an existing story that had a good rating (4.16 / 5) but I knew putting it in 'LW' was a risk and the comments lived up to expectations. Interestingly, I notice that my most read story 'Thirty Seven Days' (174,000 views on that one) is the third worst story in the votes, but the votes account for only about 0.5% of the views (951 votes)... so it's possible that if everyone voted that read it, it could be a different score entirely.

I did have a thought that maybe the fact that people expect a certain kind of story (Femdom / Chastity / Cuckold* etc) from me was part of the problem... but then my latest story ('$100 Light') which has just gone up on Literotica in the NC/Reluctance category has a score of 4.51 / 5, which I'm more than happy with (4.5+ means it gets a 'HOT' rating). So I really don't know why people don't like 'Rekindling an Old Flame'. But anyway, I wrote it for Mistress R and she liked it, so that's the main thing... 

*I suppose technically it is a cuckolding story, but not really. More of a cheating story, which is not the same thing.

'$100 Light' will be posted here in a few days (funnily enough, that one was written for Mistress R too, but she didn't like that one...)
